CONTEXT :
School project consisting of creating a 1 min documentary highlighting the life and works of Frida Kahlo. We were instructed to create a motion video of up to one minute in which we had to use various artistic techniques, called mixed media.
ART DIRECTION :
Since this video is part of a documentary series on significant historical figures, we were given specific artistic direction regarding the fonts and colors to use.
KEYFRAMES:
These keyframes depict pivotal moments in the motion: her birth, the alteration of her birth date, her bus accident, and her periods of profound suffering and depression.
PROCESS:
We completed our project using three different techniques: crafting, frame-by-frame 2D animation, and video editing.
PROPS:
Various elements and techniques used: torn paper, painting, drawing, pastel, folding and collage, scans, burning paper and frame-by-frame animation.
COMMUNICATION CAMPAIN:
A social media post and two posters: One to promote the "Trajectoire" series of videos and one to promote the video about Frida Kahlo.
This video is part of a series of four documentaries tracing the lives of individuals who have made a significant impact on society in both the past and the present.
